YOU ARE ALWAYS FIGHTING FOR THE SPACE BETWEEN KNEES AND CHEST
Defending is clearing your opponent out of the space
Escapes = Free the space
Guard Pass = From been out of the space to put yourself into the space
Guard Defense = Do not let the opponent enter the space. Keep the space closed
First close the space - Then Grips - Then Attacks
A game of timing: Be one step ahead to close your space and take your opponent's space
POSTURE = Always keeping your head over your butt => Head Up or Butt Down
When you are on someone's guard, to be swept or submitted by the opponent, they have to first lower your head below your butt's horizon line, or they have to raised your butt above your head's horizon line
You either raise your head, or drop your butt That's how you fix your posture
Look at Craig Jones's protecting this principle while rolling
ELBOWS =The more compress your skeletons, the stronger you are
When attacking, before any submitting attempt, make the opponent weak
When you are defending, before any scape, make your body strong
In top position, focus on the armpits and do not give them back
